Truck mapping system down time

Next Tuesday, 11/06/2012, the software company that does the GPS and mapping in the ambulances will take the system down for a few hours while they install an upgrade.  Because of that, crews will have to find the address of their calls the old fashioned way! :)  Keith left some King maps books on the counter.  Please be sure that every truck has a map book.

A communications guru once told me that, in order to reach all of our staff, we should be sending the message in seven different ways.  That might seem like a lot, but in times where technology is ever changing, I think it's good advice.  A few people in the group are not real comfortable communicating by email.  Some of us communicate best in written form, ie. the "communication book" (pen and paper).  Others find their information in a poster in the hallway (or bathroom!).  Either way, this blog is an attempt to reach that goal of communicating in 7 different ways.  Thank you to several VSTs who suggested that we start a blog.  I'll give it a shot.
